Statement on Allegations of Misconduct
Music, joy and community welcomes new priests

The Josephites, Saint Joseph Society of the
Sacred Heart, are committed to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every person
entrusted to our pastoral care. We take all allegations of sexual misconduct involving
our priests and brothers with the utmost seriousness.
Whenever an allegation arises, we immediately begin a thorough process that includes
internal review and the engagement of qualified third-party investigators. We cooperate
fully with law enforcement and civil authorities in order to ensure that truth and
accountability are pursued without obstruction.
Our foremost concern is for those who have been harmed. We recognize the deep and
lasting pain caused by abuse and express our heartfelt sorrow to anyone who has
suffered. To those carrying the weight of these wounds, we stand with you in prayer and
solidarity, asking God’s healing grace to bring comfort and restoration.
As a religious community founded in service and committed to the Gospel of Jesus
Christ, we pledge to uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency. We
remain vigilant in our efforts to create safe environments for all, and we reaffirm our
mission to minister with compassion, justice, and care.
